DNR gill net study and the LSBC



The LSBC assisted the DNR with some gill net sampling today and will again tomorrow. So far the data is encouraging and we will see what tomorrows results will bring. Stay tuned for more information soon.

Lead Core Trolling 101

 

 

 

Lead core trolling has a long history on Lake Lanier, dating back to the days prior to the legal use of Blue Back Herring.  When the Lake water warms in May and June, Stripers begin to school and one of the preferred fishing methods for Stripers is lead core trolling.
